Joseph: His Arms Were Made Strong
Summary: This book reads like 18 sermons on the life of Joseph. The story of Joseph is such a great story in the Bible. In this book the author takes the story of Joseph, expounds it and shows its relevance to everyday life. 2 themes constantly run through the book: the first is our constant need for wisdom. The second is maintaining a healthy fear of the Lord.
Personal Thoughts: I'm pretty sure that Joseph is now my favorite biblical character. My favorite chapter in this book is chapter 9: Father and Son reunited. It is a good exposition on Jacob's difficult life as a pilgrim. Many times the author is very direct. I must say, this is certainly NOT dull reading. In short, a great, practical book.
